Welcome to Philippine School Doha, the leading basic learning institution in Qatar. Since its inception in 1992, The Philippine School Doha, being a non-stock non-profit community school under the auspices of the Philippine Embassy and by the order of Amiri Ordinance No. 7 of 1980, has been continually serving the growing population of Filipinos as far as Philippine basic education is concerned governed by the Board of Trustees being the highest policy-making body of the institution.
The transfer to the permanent location in Messaimeer is a new home of more than 4000 students. It is indeed a great accomplishment acquired and achieved by and through the diplomatic agreement between the Philippine Government and the government of the host country, Qatar. This is also a testament of pride and legacy of the Overseas Filipino Workers that despite the distance from our homeland, their children can still avail of the best quality education; following the K-12 curriculum standard prescribed and recognized by the Department of Education, Philippines with the new DepEd Recognition No. 002,s.2017 and is duly acknowledged and approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Qatar.
As such, the school is also governed by the Corporation Code and special laws and regulations of the Philippines collectively drawn up by the Inter-Agency Committee of the Philippine Schools Overseas (IACPSO) namely: Commission on Filipino Overseas (CFO), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Education (DepEd), the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA).
With its philosophy SERVITIUM et EXCELLENTIAM, the school is committed to producing globally competitive graduates with inherent values of honesty tempered with prudence and divine wisdom.
The launching of the PSD website provides students and the likes with bits and pieces of information about the school that will help them understand its culture of excellence.
