The Intermediate Department is one of the academic units of Philippine School Doha, which caters to Grades 4, 5 and 6 students. Considered as the conclusive years of students in the elementary level under the Philippine K to 12 Curriculum, students are honed with necessary trainings and skills needed to prepare them for Junior High School. They are exposed to different learning competencies (Math, English, Science, Social Studies, Filipino, Character Education, MAPEH, and HELE/Computer), as well as in varied co-curricular activities for their holistic development. Current teaching and learning trends (differentiated instruction, multiple intelligences approach, technology utilization, teaching pedagogies, and others) are also adapted and applied in order to suit the learning styles of our 21st century learners. Added to these are the supplementary academic reinforcement, enhancement, and special programs (Math Plus, Filipino Plus, A-Science, and Filipino as a Second Language, and others) being offered to further address the academic needs of students. Moreover, the department is composed of highly qualified teaching force with Master of Arts and Doctorate Degrees in various fields of expertise. In general, the department does not only aspire to produce academically equipped elementary graduates but also ensures that students uphold PSD core values of being pro-God, pro-environment, pro-people, and pro-nation.
