The provision of enduring learning to all primary students is of paramount importance to the department. It is a fact that students with reading difficulties perform below the acceptable standards in almost all areas of learning. This was particularly noted after the near end of the first quarter this school year. This is not a first time dilemma of the department as this was also been identified in the previous school year where the intervention programs were particularly successful for they had resulted to the diminution of the number of students with reading problems and the increase of those with reading readiness.
