The pursuit of excellence in the various entries to the library contests was highlighted in the works of all the winners.
Bearing the theme; “Outcomes, Outreach, Outstanding: Libraries Beyond Boundaries”, three contests were conducted to culminate the 87th National Book Week celebrated from November 14 to November 18 hosted by the PSD HK Learning Resource Center.
Dr. Lorina S. Villanueva, Vice Principal of RDAPO, kickstarted the awarding ceremony on November 25 with her welcome remarks. The winners of the contests were announced and congratulated by the two emcees, Roma Angelica Manaois and Anne Beatrice Jose.

The Book Week Celebration strives to provide families and students opportunities to embrace a love of books through reading, and storytelling. It also seeks to improve the students’ communication skills and critical thinking in an entertaining and educational approach.
All student entries were shared on the PSD HK Learning Resource Center Facebook Page. In the Book Week Awarding, the entries of the first-place winners were shown throughout the Zoom meeting to highlight their participation and effort.
After the awarding, Ms. Maidie Acosta, school librarian, expressed her gratitude to the participants, judges, and SSG officers for their contributions to the Book Week celebration.
