Pursuant to the DepEd Order 47 s. 2014, Philippine School Doha (PSD) encouraged its studentry on the value of suffrage through its first virtual Supreme Student Government elections initially held on July 28 and 29.
Among the seventeen new officers, thirteen were from the Click Party, while two were from the Sour Party. Aside from the two parties, two independent candidates managed to secure positions as well.
Maria Theresse Enriquez (Click) won by a landslide with 1,395 votes as the new SSG President, garnering 771 more votes than Rafael David from the Sour Party. Her background as an SSG Vice-President built her reputation and helped her triumph. Anne Jose (Click) won as Vice President against Kent Salonga (Sour) with 995 votes, just eighteen votes away from the latter— a very close battle that was sure to elate and disappoint both parties. Enya Lardizabal, also from the Click Party, won as Secretary with 1,247 votes, a 516 difference compared to Julia Del Rosario’s 731 votes. Furthermore, Azhaleigh Gumangan won as Treasurer with 1,175 votes, Red Odeste as Auditor with 1,074 votes, and Gian Dipasupil as Business Manager with 1,193 votes.
