PSD@27— two decades and seven years of hard work, challenges, and triumph is no joke. As PSD marked yet another milestone, the annual field demonstration was held in the Al Rayyan Stadium last November 29 with the theme “Sustaining Growth and Development Through Service and Excellence.”

With already 27 years, PSD still has its ways to make each field demonstration unique despite the performances held annually. With the vibrant colors, creative designs, and superb performances of the students, PSD gave an experience of a lifetime for the stadium and its audience. More than 4,000 students dominated and performed at the most awaited competition.

The day started with a parade wherein the thousands of students gave the audience a quick look at their costumes that showcased their creativity. The students presented stunning and outstanding performances with the themes: Qatar Thematic Dance (SHS), Mardi Gras (JHS), Creative Dance: A Tribute to Music Icons, OPM Sound (Primary), and Dance Revolution (Preschool). Every performance, from the complicated and detailed choreography of the High School Departments to the quirky and joyful dancing of the younger departments, has proven to be a testament of months of hard work from both the teachers and students. After every performance, the stadium reverberated in applause as the audience stood in awe. Without a doubt, PSDians never fail to put on a show during their yearly Field Demonstration.

As the program neared its awarding, heartbeats fastened, hands clutched harder, and screams became louder as the most awaited part slowly came. It started with the Intermediate Department as the Grade 5 was declared as the 2nd Runner-Up, Grade 4 as the 1st Runner-Up, and Grade 6 as the Champion. The Junior High School Department then followed it as the Grade 7 was declared as the 3rd Runner-Up, the Grade 10 as the 2nd Runner-Up, Grade 9 as the 1st Runner-Up, and the Grade 8 as the Champion. Consequently, the Senior High School Department followed wherein the students performed not by year level, but by their team colors. Respectively, the Yellow Tigers was declared as the 3rd Runner-Up, the Blue Eagles as the 2nd Runner-Up, the Red Tamaraws as the 1st Runner-Up, and the White Hawks as the Champion. The second part of the awarding started by giving recognition to the Preschool Department. Later on, the Primary Department followed as the Grade 1 was declared as the 2nd Runner-Up, the Grade 3 as the 1st Runner-Up, and the Grade 2 as the Champion.

Throughout the years, PSD has never stopped developing its students. As an academic institution that does not only teach the students how to study but also teaches them how to showcase their talents, PSD continued to push its students forward through the greater heights of success.
