Last November 8, Philippine School Doha took over the Aqua Park as the students, parents, teaching, and non-teaching staff, had a blast in the Aqua Park Family Fun Day to enjoy before the winter finally approach.
The event, spearheaded by Paolo Dipasupil and Krishna Elaurza, started the day off with a prayer led by the SSG P.R.O. , Gail Serrano, who asked for guidance and safety of everyone. It was followed by the Opening Remarks that was given by the RDAPO’s Vice-Principal, Dr. Lorina Villanueva, who acknowledged everyone’s presence, including the Board of Trustees. To energize the PSD Family, selected students were then called to lead the Morning Exercise to start the day off with a boost.
Afterwards, the students were given the whole day to enjoy and have fun in Aqua Park as it offered numerous kinds of slides that people of all ages enjoyed. Aside from the food provided by PSD, different food booths such as Jollibee and Yellow Cab were also there. In between the swimming and eating, the Battle of the Bands (BoB) participants also performed a song number to showcase their talents and promote their respective bands for the upcoming competition. Moreover, an open mic was given for those who wanted to be on stage and share their talent. Some students went up and performed spoken poetry, some sang and dance, and some went up to lighten up the mood by telling jokes which gave out laughter and smiles to everyone watching.
Indeed, PSD never failed to prove that life does not just involve around academics but also around family as it held a family day for the whole PSD family to celebrate the love that PSDians have for one another.
